Seifer Almasyby ~bgates87

Hayden Christensen as Seifer Almasy.

I've been replaying Final Fantasy 8 recently and got inspired to do a series of live-action interpretations of some of the characters. I chose Hayden because of the physical similarities and because of the fact he's played a similar role before. There are a lot of parallels between the characters of Anakin Skywalker and Seifer Almasy.

I tried to capture not just his likeness but also his attitude. I spent a lot of time tweaking the body language to try and show Seifer's smugness, but at the same time you can sort of see a bit of self-doubt behind those eyes... that's something that was there in the original photograph that just happened to work for the character.

I'm thinking about doing Sorceress Edea next and I already have a good idea which actress I will be using. (Hint- A few years ago she starred in the first French film to win more than one Oscar.)

UPDATE--- April 7, 2012

Lightened up the picture for web viewing and painted in some lighting to help it match the lighting of the Edea image I am about to upload (better late than never, right?).
